setting profile block transparent

i want to set my blocks (eg. profile block, comment block etc.) transparent.
how can i fix it?

go on my fap then click on design

instead of picking a color just writte : none you ll see the transparency

also it will not work for "galeries" only thats a weird

Just found this old thread and it still works (and not) as you described. So I looked for the reason.

"none" can't work for the gallery block because of the

Code: Select all

<tr bgcolor="#FFFFFF">

that forms the table rows with a background color no matter what the CSS in blk_galleries says. So they always have a preset background in plain white. It's the same with the favorite's block.

Should be possible to cure with a few changes in the HTML-template.

Yup. Except the galleries and favorites block. I'd like to get them transparent too like the thread opener already desired. But that's definitively not possible at the moment for the reason I described. Maybe some day somebody will fix this compilation of CSS and inline formatting in the templates. Until then it's no harm that I pushed this old question on top again. Perhaps it's even something for the FAQ.

And at least that's what the search function of a forum is made for.

I am having a issue with the transparent setting. I type none and click save in the design area. It then changes to NONE but only changes my colors to white.

Now it appears to have reset to blue in the blocks even if I go back and try putting in any other color it still stays at the default blue. Weird.
