Affiliates toolbar (TnAFlix Network) - new? removable?

Just-seen feature on my profile page.

We need an FYI on this. As they're all movie/tube sites, I'm naturally disinclined to volunteer.

New? Yes, definitely.
Removable? Don't know how completely. My AdBlock Plus seems only to be able to block out the blue PNG that's used for the background. The links seem pretty much interwoven in the rest of the page code. Advise please.

Bump.

Or if you prefer the mild headache, I'll get snide: "Yet another example of an add-on no-one asked for cluttering up our pages. Granted, it's an 'inside-the-ballpark' ad, but it's advertising all the same. Wasn't the vast majority supposed to be against that, like the flu or Ebola?"

In future, the rule of thumb ought to be (applying the principle of giving the user every possible opportunity not to accidentally click on something they'd find objectionable) "Don't add something the n00b's can't block if they want to."

Someone has to pay for the bandwith. If having the toolbar at the top of my profile page means that it's not going to be me, then it can stay there.

If I was the site owner, I'd be telling the "vast majority" to take a flying fuck. It's his site. He takes responsibility for the content, and the responsibility if that content drives members / users away.

I guess you have a clear choice. You can stay, or you can go.
