504 gateway time-out

been happening too often lately ( every 2nd or third screen change ..a refresh fixes it only for it to happen again after two or three more links )..wondering if its a local problem with my computer or common to others as well ..

It started when they first got to fixing the broken image issue so it probably is a server side issue caused by them working on the issue

Don't think so.

A 504 Gateway Timeout error means a web server acting as a proxy or gateway did not receive a timely response from another upstream server to fulfill a request.

The most common "bottleneck" is cloudflare when it (better: a site behind them) is under attack.

If it's the IF server the error should appear everywhere. If it's cloudflare then it depends from where in the world you access their network. If it's a route that is under attack or not.

And here in Germany I can't confirm that the 504 appears that often.

I'm getting more 504's since the broken image issue last week. Normally I only got them when I was viewing my alerts.

The broken images seem to be fixed, but there still are a lot of broken avatars and club logos.

Also the whole site is slower since a few days. Sometimes a few pics of 2000x3000 and larger are loading like they did in the late 1990s.

I can't view the catagories anymore, getting only 504's.

The homepage with new galleries was empty until a few minutes ago. https://www.imagefap.com/gallery.php - 'No results'
But now also only 504's.

Edit: Able to see the new galleries and categories again.

Edit march 30: Only getting just a few 504's, not a big issue anymore, and the site isn't slow anymore now.

One (in numbers: 1) during the last week. On Sunday when I tried to access a post in the the forum.

Either I have an other imagefap than you or you should have a very serious talk with your ISPs.
