Above I already explained what Error 504 means. One of the serves in the upstream chain from IF to you is too slow. When I don't get 504's here in Germany but you get them in the USA (or any other narrow-minded, uptight Puritan dictatorship that actively practice censorship of the net) then one of the servers in your upstream connection answers not fast enough and runs into a timeout.

Of course it could be the IF servers with lazy database requests. But then I should have the same problem. And I don't have it.

So in a certain way you are right. It is my ISP. He's just doing what I expect him to do: Deliver data.

I have been informed that the majority of the back end of the site, you can't see, need a major overhaul.

There are some parts of the site that are in a critical state.

Actually there are at least 4 things that need to be fixed, updated or totally re written.

And this won't be done over night. It can take a few weeks to get the major things done. And then up to 3 months to be finally finished, tested and then rolled out as a final product.

Yes, I get it. I see all the error you guys do. I am making it simple - it's going to take some time.
