Help with Captioning

Postby LockwoodFamily on Wed Nov 21, 2018 2:48 pm

I'd like to create captions alongside photos. What kind of software or tool do I need?

I would also like to know. Just looking to create a white box with text at the bottom of a pic. I want to do this online, not download software.

I do my captions on paint. Most computers come equipped with this software.

i have a mac and use Graphic Converter. It is also useful for lots of other things such as resizing or adjusting contrast.

I think you can get it for free but if you want the annoying reminders to go away and want to use some of the advanced functions you need to pay a licence, but it's not much. 10 or 20 $ I think.

You can even do simpler editing or patching tasks with it and it has lots of cool features but it's not as powerful as Photoshop.

I used to have photoshop and was a big fan but the present licence fees are just crazy.

The absolute photoshop killer is Afinity Photo, it is really good and at 50 bucks it is already dirty cheap compared to Photoshop, but at times they will give a discount.

This is how I got Photo, Design (Illustrator look alike) and Publisher (Indesign look alike) for just 75 bucks, or about 80 euro's which is an absolute steal for such quality software.

GIMP is a completely free program. It's what I use.
