That's an excellent idea ! I propose you write the Moderator directly with this suggestion. I hadn't looked very deeply in the user-base myself but I certainly do not write Private Messages or requests to anyone who is over 3-weeks absent from ImageFAP. If they are gone that long with no information as for them having gone on vacation as listed in their identity page, I must make the assumption they are not going to return, unfortunately, and I don't bother to communicate with them.
Some of those accounts were test accounts. I am pretty sure there were quite a few made.
They could be deleted I guess. I think the number of old accounts would be in the 10,000 range. LOL!
The user who is posted in this thread isn't taking up much space. And his interests are blank. So finding him in the system would be pot luck I am guessing. But if you did specific user searches using the 'interests' this might be annoying to finally find someone only to see they have not been around in a long time.
Test accounts ? You mean we could be shmoozing up to someone that's not even there ?
Oh for Good Grief.
Yes - I wholeheartedly recommend you delete all the test accounts and certainly any ones that are over a year old. You could add that to the rules - any account not activated in over a year is subject to deletion.
As you can see a bunch of those accounts were made and never used. The mods have 24 different reasons to flag an account. One of those was called 'Old Account'. That is not listed any more. I did delete a lot of them when we had the option. But as you can see most of them just have a profile with no images. Even if the account does have a bunch of images attached they might be worth something to someone. Not really a big deal.
