Is there any chance the "BLOCK THIS USER" function will ever work?

Well... it works. At least it works as intended. If it doesn't work like you want it to work you should be more specific on what you think it should do.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding then. What does it do?

It doesn't do a lot if I recall correctly. It just stops other users from messaging you or leaving comments on your pictures. Ideally, it would stop people actually looking at your profile or pictures as well.

If I go to a Users profile and click BLOCK THIS USER I would like it to prevent that Users images from displaying on the Galleries that I frequent.

Here is the deal on the blocker. It is crude at best.

You have to mess around with it and see what works and doesn't.

I remember the day when the web page guy made this filter. I was told about it and that was it. I also could tell by the conversation the blocker might need more work done.

Sadly the guy who started the blocker option isn't here any more. And there isn't anyone around who can tear into this ancient code to make it better.

So if you are looking for a filter that works as well as other social media sites - not happening. And that's the truth

So you guys can't find anyone to go into the code ? nor can you revamp or update the sites functions ? I find that hard to believe.

1. It's not Facebook
2. It's not Twitter
3. It's not priority #1.
4. When (and if) we get around to making the blocking better we will. But don't look for that any time soon.

Even if you block someone, they can simply log out. And view whatever you posted.
