When PLAYBOY first started showing women's bushes, the magazine was as frank as PENTHOUSE; a few years later, however, HH got squeamish, and ever since then PLAYBOY has been very discreet--almost timid--in its depiction of bush, even as PENTHOUSE has become as frank as HIGH SOCIETY and HUSTLER.
What brought about this squeamishness? 'tis very difficult, if not impossible, to visualize Hefner--of all people--as a prig.
