My work seeks to explore this problem not by denying it or trying to produce an alternative unproblematic pornography. Rather, I try to dig into the depths of the fascinations with the degradation of women and the fetishisation of black bodies that animate so much of America's erotic economy.
I am particularly interested in the possibilities of reversal and abstraction that are latent within mainstream pornography and the possibilities of liberation that lie dormant in their entrenched hierarchies.
