Images not loading - puzzled

Images are not loading at all in any of the galleries posted in the last three hours

Same thing here....

2 days of the spinning circle with no pics...

Can only see thumbnails.

Have tried 2 computers, 3 different browsers and 4 IP's from different countries - all the same result - no big pictures when clicking on thumbnails.

Please help.

Since this is not a 'per user' problem, you would think that all the people uploading would stop for the moment. Don't they realize the pictures are not viewable from anyone?

This is going to be a bit of a mess though when the images are fixed like they were a few days ago. The bigger problem will be that those who are uploading now and within the last 8 hours or so might not get the pictures displayed ever. This happened when the last server had troubles. Then they will email, message and come to the forum (there is a forum?) and cause a fuss.

I would be waiting for an Admin 'announcement' soon. Lets see what happens.

I don't know, but perhaps a simple notice on the upload page stating that there are problems with uploads would stop everyone from uploading, and then creating the fuss you speak of down the track might not have been a bad idea..? I can't imagine that severing the link to the upload page would've been too hard to do either...

Maybe. But if the admins and tech guys aren't watching the site 24/7 then this can go on a while. It happens.

Yep. 4 AM New York City time the current picts uploaded are fine. But if I go back 5 hours the full images will not load. Hope they make it back.

Even though it is back up and running now here in the UK @ 09:32am there is still a hell of a lot of dead galleries since the photos stopped working between 22:00pm to 09:00am this morning. Nobody stopped uploading between that time. There were no warnings given that the site wasn't functioning properly and whoever has the job of deleting all those dead galleries has their work cut out.

The end user (us) need to know when the site isn't working properly and need to be properly notified when it happens so uploads don't happen until the site is back up and running. Or just take the site offline if need be until everything is ok.

I really enjoy browsing through other galleries from other users but these faults have made it impossible to do so. I don't think I know of any other website where the servers are down so much than on here.

I really do hope that this can be fixed permanently so that we can upload our photos and share with others.

Read my last post. There is not always someone sitting at all the servers to make sure the whole site is working 100%.
And get ready - most of the pictures might not ever make it back in the 10 hours or so there was down time.
