"Bump"-less Uploader problem persists.

Tonight I added 14 pics to a gallery to which I last added content on 28 January (by both the Dutch calendar and my own, coincidentally). I did so to see if anything had been done to resolve the problem I mentioned in one of the running threads on the Uploader.

Unfortunately, nothing appears to have been done. The gallery is still where it was on my My Content list and in my Organizer section, though the number of pics is up-to-date -- the only element of the three that was changed, in fact, was the number of pictures in the gallery.

This isn't stars and ratings, folks. Everyone who surfs galleries starting with the gallery lists of those of whom they are Fans, start with the Profile pages. It's often the easiest way to go about it. And while I recall that some have complained about any and every updated and added-to gallery bumping its way back onto the Profile pages, I'd say doing away with it now too aptly fits the description of "too little and too late." The Uploader and gallery softwares have done so for so long, it's what we expect, so to see it not happen can be a little annoying.

"Can it be fixed?" "Why was it changed?" Don't tell me I'm the only member asking these questions.

I've encountered a problem that may be related: I know for a fact that I've uploaded perhaps ten or twelve galleries since the last time my gallery count was updated, and the content is there in the list of what I've uploaded (at least as far as I can tell), but the count hasn't been updated in a few days.

Well, there's "count" and there's "count."

Sorry for being obtuse, but if by "count" you mean the number of views per picture, that problem IS related to this one. If folks can't find the gallery, or if (and this shouldn't be necessary, but for the time being it is) you haven't given folks who surf your galleries a hint that gallery X or Y has been added to, then of course the views count on the pics won't increase.

There really is nothing better than the old "auto-bump" for getting views counts to new pics in a gallery. My quick-&-dirty solution was to comment on one of my "new adds" a few days ago -- the night I started this thread, as a matter of fact. I can't tell for sure, but it looks like all that accomplished was to increase the views "count" for that one picture; as perusing that gallery just now revealed, there are still pics in it that have yet to get their first cycle of 3 views.

The other "count" -- the number of galleries -- may have nothing at all to do with the issue I started this thread intending to point up. Last month I noticed that my Comments count on my Profile page wasn't going above 100, even though on two separate occasions I did have what looked to me to be more than 100 comments logged by the system.

In the past, if I think some number ("count") is off, I log out, clear cookies, log back in and see if the number I think is wrong has changed. Or I surf to my homepage in another "brand" of browser -- if starting off in FF or SeaMonkey, then Chrome or Opera -- where I haven't been "on" ImageFap for awhile, and see if the numbers are any different there. At this point, if both numbers are the same as they were, I usually tell myself that it's them and not me, and try not to think about it.

I was hoping, initially, that doing all of the above would be the solution to the "bump-less" problem itself. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

Is anything happening on this issue? It's been several weeks now, and nothing has changed. This is a major issue for me, and I have suspended uploading new posters, as no one can find them when they are hidden in the depths of the other galleries. There's no point adding new images if no is going to look at them!
