Block user problem and questions

Postby eliko007 on Tue Dec 21, 2010 3:17 am

So, I clicked the button "Block this user" and when I come back on the profile of this guy it's like I never block him. I don't understand why, i'm using noscript, I've autorize everything except google-analytics.

Also, can I see the galleries of these users on the "Teen Porn" section when I block them? Because I want to use "block this user" for this. I see that some guys post teen galleries containing something like 70% 18+ women, 25% nn teenager and like 5% illegal content. So I want to block them. Will this function help me with this? I report the people but they never get ban or something like that so.

Anyway, sorry for my grammar. English isn't my primary langage.

The block option. I have not used it and it was never officially explained as to its purpose. In my case though, I cannot block anyone. Someone else can chime in and say what they think it is all about. Or I can ask the tech people the intent of the block. Maybe it blocks them from seeing your stuff? Lets see what others have to say.

Yeah, its totally what I want to know and I also want to know why I can't block anyone. Maybe there is a bug.

I think how it was supposed to work was, you block them, they can't see your stuff. Not the other way around.

You might just want to bite the bullet, jot down the name of someone you've blocked (or are in the process of blocking), and then see if you can, at the very least, load their Profile page in your browser after you block them. That should provide a good-enough answer to your question. A Big-List (main galleries search) or Interests search off the Members list link would also confirm it.

Much better than waiting for someone else to come up with an explanation for the feature, or why it doesn't work as we presume it should.

First problem with Block User is that they don't "stick."

You can have someone re-join your Fanbase, surf to that person's Profile page and the white-on-blue "Block This User" link will appear.

Of course, the very fact they can add themselves back to your Fanbase is proof that Block User isn't working at all.

If the idea was mis-understood, then it was a waste of time for the tech/s to have implemented it in the first place. This might explain why we haven't got word 1 about how what they DID put in is supposed to work. It only makes sense: don't get it -- put it in anyway -- realize you didn't understand what the peeps were looking for and so don't explain it to anyone anywhere anyhow.

Another one for the trash-heap. And it was, at least partly, a good idea at the beginning.
