Imagefap access denied in the UK - UPDATED March 30

Hello,

just to let you know that imagefap isn't being accessed by UK people for some reason. I'm getting "network error (tcp_error) a communication error occurred" At first I thought it was a router or ISP issue but I reset everything and it didn't work. I only manage to get access to the site via an IP blocker so it looks like I am in another country. Please sort this as I am not the only person (I Googled it).

This news has been coming for a while. Some of our users have been blocked for a while. Here is a clipping of news that is on various websites.

Internet customers in the UK are prohibited from accessing a range of web sites by default, because they have their Internet access filtered by their ISPs. The filtering program has applied to new ISP customers since the end of 2013, and has been extended to existing users on a rolling basis. A voluntary code of practice agreed by all four major ISPs[8] means that customers have to 'opt out' of the ISP filtering to gain access to the blocked content.[9] However, the complex nature of the active monitoring systems means that users cannot usually opt out of the monitoring and re-routing of their data traffic, something which may render their data security vulnerable. The range of content blocked by ISPs can be varied over time.[10] Categories blocked across the major ISPs include: Dating, Drugs, Alcohol and Tobacco, File sharing, Gambling, Games, Pornography, Nudity, Social networking, Suicide and Self-harm, Weapons and violence, Obscenity, Criminal Skills, Hate, Media Streaming, Fashion and Beauty, Gore, Cyberbullying, Hacking and Web-blocking circumvention tools.

There is nothing we can do. Our site is blocked by the big brother ISP's who don't think you should look at naked people. This has also happened to most users in Italy and their ISPs are also blocking porn sites.

If you guys want to continue this topic and suggest easy ways for each other to gain access to our site you are more than welcomed.

I use a mac app called "hotspot shield". Unfortunately users in the UK won't be able to read this but I thought it was worth a mention.

i have had the same problem over the past week, i can only access this with my phone data which has no trouble at all

Likewise, identical issue.

However I think it might be a BT fault. I can still access moviefap.com which is from the same network as imagefap.com. I can also access redtube.com and pornhub.com which would be obvious targets if this is some kind of block.

I am not the account holder for my internet connection so I can't log a ticket with BT, fancy doing it and seeing what they say?

Edit: I can also access images directly from the imagefapusercontent.com domain but not through imagefap.com, for example

The web savvy users will be able to bypass the UK blocking easily. We at imagefap can suggest other ways for you to get to our site. But in doing so we can't guarantee that your username and password will be safe while using other options, such as a poorly configured VPN or a proxy server. Knowing that we can't with all certainty give you a list of proxy servers that you can use and not have your account compromised.

You might say "Ok, its only a porn site and I don't care about any information I have on imagefap". Fair enough. As long as you don't use your password on other sites then feel free to use a proxy server. Also if you do go the proxy route, make sure you don't have any personal pictures in your galleries.

Another thing is, if you do use a proxy server (public) this does not guarantee you will see all of the pictures. Possibly some missing thumbs or full images. This is how the proxy servers work. Also you might not see anything on our site using a proxy. It all depends on who set up the proxy, sites allowed and the amount of traffic dedicated to you. Many variables and too much to list.

Also, there is a slight chance that simply (for some) changing your DNS might work. I haven't tried that as I am not in the UK. This would be the easiest and safest thing for you to do if you know how. Here is the link from Google on how you can do that.

Or you can try using opendns suggestions from here. They make it very easy to understand.

To make your changes on Windows 10 it is the same as Windows 7 basically. Just go to the start button and type in 'network'. You will see Network and Sharing display. Or just go to your control panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections. Highlight your active network adapter. Right click. Properties. Internet protocol version 4 or 6. Usually its 4. Click it. Then go to Properties. On the bottom half of that screen you can use the second option Use the following DNS server address. Enter the following.

Use the following DNS server address: 208.67.222.222
Alternate DNS server: 208.67.220.220

That is it. You are now using the opendns servers and not any server in the UK. As I said, this MIGHT let you back to our site. Maybe not. But again it is the easiest way to test and try.

Having said all of this I might give you a list of reliable and somewhat trusted proxy servers in a future post. Of course if anyone else in the UK has suggestions feel free to post them here.

I was just informed that the changing of the DNS isn't working for at least one of our users. So you might want to try the proxy trick.
