If I create a Gallery with Add New Folder in My Fap and then click Upload Add to an existing Gallery the one I have just made does not show in the list. So I can't upload pictures to it.

Because you are doing it wrong.
"Add to an existing Gallery" means to append images to a gallery you previously uploaded. This has nothng to do with the target folders in your IF galleries.
Choose "Create a new gallery", upload it (will land in "Uncategorized") and then move it to the folder you want to have it.
