How do you organize the gallieres

Well thanks for your help again. Its the dumb of stupid things that trip us up. Dumb as in changing the fuse in the toaster but didn't think to check if it was switched on at the wall socket Don't be sorry in stuff like this that makes some folks chuckle and stops other tearing there hair out. It just happens

I still hold that the solution is to roll-back the gallery software to how it worked at the beginning: all new additions to galleries appearing as linked thumbnails towards the end of a given gallery, not insinuated at odd angles between previously posted pics. Take a look at my own Nude at Computers #4 to see where the newer method has left us. I don't even try to rearrange my N@C galleries because of the lack of limit and option I mentioned in my first paragraph.

Sometimes the old ways are best. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

clicking on either that "Did you know...?" link or the "See More Galleries" link...

And that message link is now a permanent fixture on Profile pages. Think of it as a shortcut to your Galleries tabs.

Thinking about the re-ordering of images and the order of thumbs as they appear with new adds to galleries, I'm reminded of another Churchill quote : "Britain and France had to decide between war and dishonour. They chose dishonour. They will have war."

Adapted to the argument of whether this not-so-cosmetic-after-all "hack" and the new and by-and-large unworkable/unworkING option of re-ordering thumbnails, it would read something like:

"The techs of Imagefap had to decide between common sense and getting fancy with the software. They chose to get fancy. They have now got common sense on their to-do list."

Whatever side you take on the "re-ordering images" feature -- lately I've "evolved" my thinking to where I love it when it works and hate it when it doesn't -- it might be a good idea to have a single thread for discussing the different issues related to it, like the ones for ads and chat. This way, the mods and Admin can give the tech/s finer details about where it succeeds and where, when and how it fails.

I've noticed lately there are times, sometimes whole hours, when it doesn't work no matter what browser you're in or what the settings are in browser X, Y or Z. I suspect there's a "silent" script failure or two going on that's causing it (the reorder feature) to "kick out" from time to time. And my link-through change idea (see the SUGGESTIONS thread) might have in it the seeds of a cure for that. If the same kind of routines that keep a set of five galleries accurately cycling on a Profile page were applied to the reorder feature, then keeping the first five thumbs as accurate shouldn't be as big an issue, and maybe both would work equally well and consistently.

ok....I do not have my settings as anonymous, and if I click the add new folder, nothing happens. I cannot seem to create categories to sort my 190+ galleries. dOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT i AM DOING WRONG?

Never mind.....I figured out you have to go to myfap/mycontent
when you click on add a new folder, you have to click the top of the broswer to allow a scripted window
