Missing content? - Read this

Hi everyone,

As you might have noticed, there is missing content from the site.

Specifically, but not limited to, favorites, folders, recently uploaded galleries and avatars.

Fixing the issues is a work in progress. We hope to have the bigs worked out within 48 hours. But I think it will be much earlier than that.

The problem we might have will be 2 hours of missing data. That would mean anything that happened on the site Wednesday afternoon - the 14th.

We might need some info from you if you would like to participate. Let us know exactly what is missing from your account.

So for example if you did have 200 favorites and now you only have 100 say so.

When you click on your folders in your favorites , it does not bring anything up, it is just a blank white page. I understand you have been working on the site lately, but it has been very slow at times, and a lot of bugs and makes it hard to use.

Yep had maybe 18 Favourite folders with maybe 200 images in each one and they all disappeared maybe three hours ago. And something like 110 galleries, same thing happened. But looks like they might just be beginning to magically reappear just as l write !

If i try to look at my fanlist i get the message "this account has been closed" yet i can see my profile and favourites etc, is this the same issue?

When I log in I have only categories on left and messages from admin boxes. No galleries, just white space.

Oh sure, just as I mention the "Reply" button being gone it magically reappears!? LOL

Okay, for the sake of continuity I'll post in here again, sorry for the PM, longhairfish.

First of all the whole homepage / landing page is blank now, at least for me.
Some of my favorites are showing up, slowly. Some seem to be accessible but many just show "This gallery has been flagged for review. This gallery has been flagged for review and is currently unavailable."

As for the number of favorites, I have no idea how many I've had in there and what's missing. Sorry.

Things happen, tech gets glitchy. I for one am just happy that you let us all know what's-what regarding the goings-on and that you are working on the issues/problems.
I don't know if hubby or I are missing anything in our accounts as-yet, we'll have a look and if-so bring it up in the future at a quieter post-crisis time as you and the staff are very likely insanely busy right now arguing with the servers and software.
I am NOT about to drop any more on you right now out of respect.
I and hubby are content to wait, this storm of software-snaggery will pass.

my galleries are coming back ......there was a big event around 2am october 14 ; i was posting a gallery and everything was ok and then suddenly 45 of my 79 posts were marked as ERROR . Now at 5:45 pm things look much better

Earlier, posting a Gallery, I received a "Gallery Sent for Review" Notice, I figured it was due to me posting too long a description for the Gallery, it listed "200" in the Text Box for the Description and said it was being reviewed. It was quickly posted after that.

At one point I tried to rearrange the images, and once it hung, the next time it worked. Later, I returned, and the images were not rearranged, they were as originally posted, but then I started getting "Gallery Pulled for Review" notices again. To make things simpler, I deleted my Gallery, but that was before I realized that ImageFap was having issues. I'll post again tomorrow, or when the issues here are resolved, no need to complicate things.

But I went to see if I had any messages, and Clicking on the Message Icon, I was sent to an otherwise blank page that merely had "Barf" written in the upper left hand quarter.

Seeing barf! was something even new to me after 13 years on the site!

So here is the update. We will be working more on the site Thursday morning with a few pots of coffee brewing. As it looks now we have to restore all or parts of the database.

This is not all bad news. I say that because some of you are reporting 'stuff' missing. I don't think this is the case. If you refresh the page where you expect to see your pictures or favorites a few times you should see what you expect. Your pictures are still on the site (somewhere) its just that they are missing in action due to a corrupted database.

As it turns out, some people are mortified when they see "This account is closed" when trying to log in. I would be feeling the same way. The only users who have had an account closed today (Wednesday) were people who had their accounts flagged / under review. And those few users had been under review for 7 to 10 days.

Other reports are avatars missing, 0 fans or log ins simply not working. The recreation of the database should put us back to where we were. But as I mentioned earlier, we might lose a few hours of uploads, messages you sent to other users or small functions like when you send your picture to us for verification.

As you can see there is a lot going on. As soon as I know something you will too.
