Problem Uploading Videos

I attempted to upload a video for the first time and every attempt I got a message stating

Sorry, uploading a file with the extension ".mp4" is not allowed.

So I tried another format . . .

Sorry, uploading a file with the extension ".webm" is not allowed.

and another which I forget the extension now.

So what video formats / extensions are allowed and how does one go about downloading them in said format?

At the top of the screen it tells you this:

Please upload your movies in WMV, Mpeg, AVI or Mov formats.
