how does view count works?

Are views only count registered members or anyone? In short do I have more people that check that the one recorded? thanks

View counts, pictures you looked at and pictures you uploaded, are not showing correctly on your home profile page.
Months ago the count got trashed. And it is quite difficult to be fixed.
The good news is, when you look at your gallery the correct views are shown. But one thing, it is a multiple of 3. So if a picture shows 27 views it is really 9.

It seems view counts are normal as of today! No more multiples of 3. For new views at least. Older views are still multiples of 3.
