Security Essentials throws a fit

Postby jimjam140 on Sat Oct 01, 2011 4:36 pm

Every time I log on, Microsft Security Essentials throws a fit, and tells me to clean my computer, a viruslike thing called pornpop/A. This is a recent addition, and I don't like it. I like to keep my PC clean of malware. I suspect I also got win32/zbot from this site too.

I'm now suspicious of logging on.

Anyone else have this problem?

Check out the Microsoft site and see what they have to say about it.

Go down to the Technical Information (Analysis) part for the good stuff. About a third of the way down on the page.

Basically it is the Live Jasmin pop under ad.

Haha, I've just about destroyed my roomie's desktop by surfing this site!....There is more malware here than I've ever seen(and I've spent a good chunk of time seeking out viruses when I was learning PC repair). I was using his spare PC while mine was being fixed, but he wouldn't let me update windows due to compatibility issues with some of his older software. Add to that the fact that I had neglected to properly apply the settings in my cheapo, free virus software, and that desktop is/was crrrrrawling with viruses. Luckily I've managed to get rid of most of the problems before losing anything, but it's still got a bad bug. Now I'm using my properly-protected laptop again, and everything's fine- Moral of the story: Yeah, this site is like every single venereal disease for your PC; So, if you enjoy/are hooked on surfing smut as much as I am, just make sure your PC wears protection
