What's a "low-bowler"?

Someone who goes through galleries and votes pics "1", regardless of how good the pic is or what's in it. Chances are they don't even look when they vote. Some might be doing it with scripts. Wouldn't be that hard, if you knew what you were about.

Even with one more higher vote of "9" or "10", the best rating one can expect in short order is 5.5.

Just an FYI. Not that it matters all that much in the scheme of things.

PS: Conspicuous by its absence (since the last big "features & functions fix-up"): Getting arbitrarily logged-out when uploading. Am I the only one who noticed, or is it that I'm the only one who's been so lucky (knock on pressboard) ?

This is annoying , it disables one tool to sort out boring crap from nice porno pic's it could be helped with limit the low rate max 10 per 24 hours or so.
The rating is there to help . Sometimes amateur pic's get bad rating just because someone don't like amateur type pic's !? Don't look at them then !

Not much, overall, except it does tend to drop the cumulative "score" of a gallery down with it. Over on rougefemale's SUGGESTIONS thread, I went into this in more detail.

Since there are so many members on ImageFAP, and it's been around as long as it has, different folks have taken to picking galleries to browse on the Big List based on such things as its/their cumulative "stars" score. If you or I as uploaders are keen that all our galleries get a fair shot at being looked at, it can't help to have one at 7 stars and the other at 2, if this is the yardstick (an unknown but I presume large enough number of) people use to surf galleries.

I just went through my galleries, and most of them have scored pretty high. Huh.

But it still doesn't matter to me that much. It's not like I'll ever be earning enough from gallery views to get any money out of it.

I've never cared about the rating of the gallery when I open it up. If it matches whatever I've searched for, it's good.

Most people are probably like that.
