So maybe try voting with ad blockers disabled. Or open a new incognito / private window in your browser.
Yesterday and today I did some testing using three different browsers, running them in "incognito/private window" modes. Two of these browsers are Chrome-based, and one (Safari) was not. Absolutely no extensions, advertising blockers, or any other add-on were running on any of them. None of this made any difference whatsoever. The issue persisted.
I thought to try on a different device. So, I went to the site on my cell phone and tried. As soon as I was logged in and attempted to vote on some photos, the issue reappeared. Only around half of my "votes" counted. Sometimes voting works, sometimes not. The symptoms were exactly the same as when I am on a desktop machine. I select a rating and sometimes the "stars" will reflect my "vote," and sometimes they remain "blank." However, even when "blank," if I attempt to "vote" again, I get the message pop-up informing me that I "already voted" on that photo.
At this point, I believe the problem seems to be following my account. It certainly seems that way as nothing I am able to do changes things. If I am logged in, it happens.
I'm pretty much out of ideas. I've dumped all cookies, tried every browser I have, both in normal and private/incognito modes, and even tried totally different devices. Nothing is helping. About the only thing left that I can think of is to make a new account and find whether the problem exists with that. That move seems pretty radical, as I've spent years and years with my present account, but maybe I should try it.
