All right. I will check around. Your IP (as well as other users) changes sometimes 3 times a minute.

Site is now working 50% of the time - but then I get the blank white page again !

It appears to be an issue with my ISP. I can view the site when I use my mobile phone data but as soon as I put the WiFi on I get the blank white page. It's very frustrating but I appreciate longhairfish trying to sort it out.

The ISP in question from what I see is BT. They did something really weird.

Probably without anyone knowing who is using BT, they dumped you into a sort of VPN. Everyone's IP is switching many times a minute.

So when this happens, the people who are mass downloading (see our other topic) and slowing down the site share the same IP with a normal user. Then the IP either gets banned or receives a message saying "Try back in an hour" or something like that.

I will be checking more details as the weekend progresses. There isn't a magical fix button as we never saw an ISP do this.

I'm still having problems and I'm getting a little irritated. I still get the blank white page, it doesn't happen all the time but I have to keep refreshing pages before the page loads properly. I also still get the page saying "Too many requests, try again in 1 hour" after viewing just a couple of pages.

I don't understand why sniffinhertoes has their problem sorted out while I'm still having issues.

Sandy, its not a problem on our end specifically. As I noted elsewhere in the forum, its it your ISP BT. They have done some IP configurations and dumped you guys into some kind of proxy pool. You don't even know its happening. This means you are sharing the same IP with many users on your BT ISP.

Our site is very specific about how many users can use the same IP. Simply it can't happen.

I won't explain to them how they have messed up. And they probably won't believe you either.

This is not the first time we have had issues with BT. Every few years they 'fuck something up' on their end. Then it takes months of user complaints to get it fixed.

I'm not with BT, I'm with PlusNet so if anyone else has the same problem they may be with either ISP.

It did seem a lot better this morning so I'm hoping something has changed. Sorry if I came across as being a bit short. It's just frustrating but I appreciate it's not an issue your end.

I've just checked the site on my mobile phone and it seems to be an issue with Firefox. When I use Chrome it works fine.

Sandy, your IP is loaded in with the bunch from BT. So maybe BT shares or owns part of PlusNet

Apparently BT does own PlusNet so that'll be my issue. Oh well, I'll just have to live with it until the issue resolves itself as with BT it appears this happens from time to time for a while before everything starts working as normal.
