He was 18 when I began seeing him in my office on a regular basis. He was a freshman in college and it was is first time living away from home. This change is often a source of much anxiety in first year students by itself. Through conversations, however, it came out that he felt he was 'missing much more' than just being home. Apparently, unbeknownst to his parents, he had volunteered to be a 'sperm donor' to a couple who were family friends. I told him that sperm donation was usually conducted through 'sperm banks' for reasons of anonimity etc. and he said he understood. He said that the couple really didn't want to risk the unknown and actually thought he was a wonderful young man and even looked like the husband, so it wouldn't be a 'questionable' match.

They had entered into a secret and formal agreement, apparently they had even agreed to help pay for some of his first year college expenses. The deal had involved them picking him up from his college on weekends, driving to a rented apartment, and his engaging in sex with the wife usually several times. The husband apparently was there for the first several times but opted to step out for the remainder of what was a three-month affair. 

"Now that it's over, I just miss her. I know she wasn't my girlfriend... she wasnt my anything, but I just miss her. And she told me that everything worked and now she's going to be having my baby. I texted her to see if she would come visit me again she doesn't write back now."

By his estimation, he had had sex with the wife over 40 times. Some of which, he had revealed, had actually been oral and anal, generally when the husband had not been present. 

It can be difficult for a young man to move on to seeking new lovers, especilaly after such an intense and rewarding experience with an older woman.
